Penn State Scranton Celebrate Pride! 2022

“Mx. Kelley is an absolute pleasure to work with! They put together an educational and entertaining drag show on April 11, 2022, and spoke about sex and sexuality in an Introduction to Health and Human Sexuality course on April 14, 2022. Both of these programs offered opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to get involved and learn as they participated. Everything from visual presentation to content to participation engagement was an invaluable educational experience curated by Jacob. Penn State University Scranton looks forward to working with Mx. Kelley again!

Bloomsburg University: Queer Confidence Speaker

“Jacob Kelley came to BU to speak about their experience in rural PA and specifically their time as a BU student. They made their audience laugh as well as shed a few tears as they talked about how they worked to become the amazing individual they are today. Having Jacob on campus was an amazing opportunity and would love to have them back again!.”

Virtual Guest Speaker: Lock Haven University-Introduction to LGBTQ Studies

“Mx. Jacob Kelley spoke to my Introduction to LGBTQ Studies class at Lock Haven University on Monday, Nov 8, 2021 on queer activism and queer spaces. They did a wonderful job. Even over Zoom (because of COVID-19 cases in the area), the presentation was interactive and Mx. Kelley was approachable and engaging for the students. In the days since then, I have had several students email me thanking me for having them talk to the class. The students also mentioned Mx. Kelley in a weekly assignment on the most important things they took from the class that week. They really enjoyed seeing a queer person succeed and take on leadership roles; many of my students are from rural areas, and the idea that a queer person could be open and out while taking on leadership positions was a new – and inspiring – one for them. I’d highly recommend Mx. Jacob Kelley as a speaker!”

Susquehanna University – First Drag Show

“Looking for a Drag Show for your university?  I highly recommend contacting Jacob Kelley. They were so easy to work with and they did all the work. The 2.5 hour show was not only entertaining, but also educational. The costume changes, the dancing, the stories kept the crowd laughing, clapping and singing along. The venue was full and all the students were engaged with the professional performance.  The first thing students talked about after was when can they come back. After 2 years of dealing with COVID, this was the program that got students out of their rooms. We are most certainly looking forward to having them back. Jacob will work with you to plan the show that will suit your students and university.  To all the Queens and Kings– Thanks for brightening our lives!”

Tipping Is A Must!
100 Tips for a Drag Show

Tipping is a Must: 100 Tips for a Drag Show is packed with fun, upbeat and honest rules to being kinder, wiser, and better in all drag elements. I want you to understand the perspectives of drag shows and drag performers. We often think of one type of drag persona and forget about the rest. You will discover areas of drag you either consistently think of or have yet to consider. Most people who like drag, perform drag, or attend drag shows don’t always know what is needed at a show. This book will help you learn everything needed when getting involved with drag. While these rules can be applied in many ways, it is best said that they should be used how you see fit.

If you are a drag performer, attend drag shows, or looking to run a show, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!”
